Focus on Life - Week 7 - Beauty of Flowers

After missing the link up the last 2 weeks
with the flu circulating our house and just extra craziness,
thankfully I found time to pick up my camera this week and join back in.

Sally's prompt this week was to capture the beauty of flowers.
This was a prime week to have this challenge as the love of Valentine's was all around us.
Flowers seemed to be everywhere this week!
My husband bought me the most beautiful tulips and I just knew that I had to photograph them.
As they were sitting in the window with the light filtering in,
the petals almost got a translucent effect which I loved.
I applied an antique filter and it accented it even further.

I hope that everyone enjoyed a wonderful Valentine's Day.
Wishing you all a great weekend!

Want to see how others captured the beauty of flowers?
Hop on over to
and take a look!

Love what you did with a simple tulip. Or maybe not so simple after all!

I love the unusual angle you chose to photograph your tulips! Their petals remind me of stained glass.

What a lovely Hubby to buy you such pretty tulips, a definite sign that Spring is on its way :)

(flower purchasing in this house is banned on V.Day and Mother's day, by me, of course, LOL!!)

Love your shot :)

Have a lovely weekend, cheers, T. :)

Oh yes, the light filtering in really transform a simple, but lovely tulip into something more sublime. Beautifully done!
